Excellent delivery time, it took a week and they quoted appx. 3 weeks, with no option for a speedy delivery. One huge problem. It is a book for CS5, with a disk included (I wanted to use it for class). So I could only view the data CD if I open it right?-- & it is for a later version of Adobe InDesign CS6. Horray for me. So much for seamless.
Nice layout and info.

Very good book, a lot of exercises and every chapter ends with a Portfolio/Project Builder Section which I really like. Covers all you need to know about InDesign CS5.

My instructor posted the wrong book, therefore I had to return the book. But I find all the books this author writes in complicated because he don't write it the way you are suppose to follow instructions to arrive at the correct drawing as illustrated in the book
I used this for my InDesign class

This book was inconsistent and hard to follow. Other than that I did learn a lot from it. I learned a lot despite its drawbacks.

The product is like new. I have yet to do all the lessons but based upon what files I've opened, other than Adobe's help line expiring, the disc seems to be working fine with my program. Thank you, as Adobe is trying to convert everyone to CS6 and my CS5 version is relatively new, in my opinion (even in the tech world).

I used this book to complete my InDesign coursework. It is easy to follow and covers everything you would need.
Difficult to use.

I bought this book to go along with a college class. I really dislike the book. I had no background in any of the Adobe layout software previous to InDesign. The book often takes one from point A-D but omits B and C. Then you have to figure it out on your own or go the help button to figure it out. The book will introduce a concept many pages back and then drop it on you not giving you a clue as to where the tool is. One then has to go back and find that reference. I am used to other textbooks for Adobe products and they walk you through the process several times, until you get a grasp of the situation and then they will let you remember to use the process or tool. I would not recommend this book to anyone with-out them having prior knowledge in earlier Adobe layout programs or similar programs. It is hard to use and very frustrating. I am told that this is because the book was re-written to be available for the upgrade CS5 and that the same title for the CS4 and earlier were very good.
