I have been a cookbook collector and user for about 30 years. I found this book on garnishes to be unique and easy to use. The photos of the garnishes really motivated me to try some. Great for special occasions and I am sure professional chefs will also find it very useful. I have used other cookbooks from that publisher and find the step-by-step illustrations to be very useful. This is especially true for complex garnishes, which can be very difficult for most of us to create.

Chinese Garnishes / Adornos Chinos: With Platter Arrangements / Con Decoraciones Para Platillos (Wei-Chuan Cookbook Seris)This is the 2nd Edition to the 1st Edition I bought several years ago. This book is much more comprehensive and has much easier to follow along instructions, beautiful pictures and a great design and layout and much easier use. I tried the "Fish Carrot Net" and my friend tried the "Radish Flowers" we both found them fun and amazingly easy to do that the average person can do. They would look great added to your next potluck or event. The bonus is it comes in both "English and Spanish" Great for the beginner or novice. Two thumbs up!!

Invaluable Title


I have been using the Wei-Chuan 'Chinese Appetizers & Garnishes' for years now. However, I was really impressed by the completeness of this new expanded edition which has an improved layout and design that makes it easier to make the garnishes, from simple to complex. The pictures and attention to details are invaluable aids to creating beautiful garnishes. I receive complement on compliment from guests who attend dinner parties at my home. I love this book. I heartily recommend this cookbook for amatuers and even professionals as an invaluable addition to thei culinary library.

Great book!


I bought this book for the mother of my daughter-in-law. It will be a birthday gift for her this coming March. She had told her daughter that she has been looking for a garnishing book and couldn't find any. Fortunately I have one and sent it to my daughter-in-law for her mother. this is another one of the other three I had purchase for that purpose...I would like to own my own copies of these books. It will be a nice reference.

I like to experiment in my kitchen. I have recently have made friends with an Asian women. She has got me interested in Asian cooking, now I am looking into garnishes to enhance my culinary skills. I recently purchased this book and I'm finding a lot of the garnishing to be easy to make mainly do to the step by step photos.
