It's not your grandmother's patchwork technique. This book shows you the '10-minute' block technique allows you to piece a top, even a king-size one, in a morning. With the help of this technique, you can create big blocks with a diamond center and curved edges without sewing any curved seams-it's a quilters dream come true. With help for beginning quilters and ideas for the more experienced this book is perfect for anyone who wants the time to sew twice as many quilts as before. Seven quilting projects with full color photos of the finished show you the way. Author-suzanne mcneill. Softcover-35 pages. Made in USA.
Fun and Easy

Great if you looking for a quick and easy pattern. Not much in the way of variety in the patterns and the book is small - only 34 pages. I wouldn't pay full retail for this since I could get the same instructions from the internet video. I thought the book would have more variety.
Pretty quilts, but...
By Buttonskay on Nov 08, 2010
I do like this book, and the concept. However, most of the quilts are made from the same block idea, just using different fabrics. I think it would be nice to state that somewhere...I don't mind it so much as the price was fairly low; but if I had paid the usual rate of 20+ dollars I would have been none too happy...
Good idea poor instructions
By Lezley on Dec 27, 2010
The quilt square is a good idea however the author has left out one step in the instructions. You can go to U TUBE and watch the video and make this but if you dont have access to that it is going to be difficult. I think the instructions are not user friendly at all.
Wow! What a concept!

I first saw the 10 Minute You Tube Video, by Suzanne McNeill, and was hooked! I ordered the book, it's great because it already has the fabric quantites you need to make your own. What a time saver. I had never machine quilted before, and I started an afghan size last weekend, and are almost finished! Once the material was cut, I had the six blocks done in about an hour! Lesson learned: On seam #3, use pins, and align the center seam of the center block and work your way outward. I found it easier to set the block in my lap for this step, rather than laying it out on a flat surface. She shows how to use different fabrics and placement of the blocks for greatly different looks! I'll be using this one for years to come! Thanks Suzanne!
Different Layouts, Same Block
By Phoebe Moon on Oct 25, 2013
Her "new idea" is actually an old one, based on a three-dimensional bow tie block. It became a "Faux Cathedral Window" block in a 2006 you-tube video, [...] , then the 10-minute block in her 2011 video. Her work is derivative at best, and she gives no credit to the people who actually came up with these ideas.
Suzanne McNeill 10 min block
By Patricia Crowther on Sep 18, 2013
Suzanne seems to make instructions as simple as they can be. With 8 yr old twin girls, their Mum is teaching them many things including sewing. Nanna has been inducted into some of this teaching, specifically in quilting [ I am no expert my any stretch], so this will be a learning curve for the 3 of us. Suffice to say, with Suzannes help, my twin grand-daughters will off and running on their own. Kind regards P Crowther
10 Minute Quilts

This book has very straight forward instructions that are easy to follow. From beginners to advanced this technique is a real gem, I know I will use it often to create that quick quilt which is needed in a hurry.

This is an excellent block for making charity baby quilts. I do a lot of charity quilts and when I saw this book, I just knew that it would work for me. I also have the Twist and Turn book by the same author. They are really good books. There is clear instructions with pictures to follow.

THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING BOOK. THE PICTURES AND INSTRUCTIONS ARE PERFECT. I'VE MADE ALMOST EVERYTHING IN THIS BOOK AND THE PEOPLE I GIVE THESE GIFTS TOO LOVE THEM. IT IS MY FIRST TIME QUILTING, SO IT HAS BEEN FUN TO MAKE PROJECTS THAT LOOK VERY HARD, BUT ARE VERY EASY, EVEN FOR ME, A FIRST TIMER
