This groundbreaking text presents a framework for understanding how the lives of all people are shaped by gender. Instead of presenting gender as a collection of individual traits, Transformations presents gender as a social system that is used to categorize people and is linked to power and status. Mary Crawford's readable and lively style, and her presentation of a balance of classic and cutting-edge research, provide an engaging overview of the psychology of women and gender.

i'm not a fan of reading textbooks unless I am forced to for classes, but I found this particular one interesting. So many things I learned about non verbal languages of dominance between genders

Had to buy this as a text book for a course I am taking. Really not my preference for reading.

The format of this book- (chapters and the way its organized) make it very easy to read. I almost forget that I'm reading for a class, and I feel like I'm reading for leisure. I would recommend this book to anyone teaching or taking a psych of women class!

The book came completely damaged on the front and highlighted on almost every page. I return it with a slight fold on the front and they charged me over $100! This was a complete waste of a "rental" and I will never be renting from this company again.
