DO NOT ORDER-THIS IS A SCAM-DO NOT ORDER
By Jeremy Bogle on Jan 08, 2013
AFTER ONE MONTH THE QUICKBOOKS STOPPED WORKING (IN THE MIDDLE OF MY SEMESTER) AND ASKED FOR CODES TO CONTINUE USING THE PROGRAM. THEY DID NOT INCLUDE THE CODES AND THE SELLER DID NOT RESPOND TO MY INQUIRY FOR THEM. IT IS ESSENTIALLY A TRIAL VERSION THEY ARE SELLING THAT IS NO GOOD AFTER 30 DAYS. THIS IS LITERALLY THEFT. AMAZON WILL NOT REIMBURSE BECAUSE IT WAS AFTER 30 DAYS (WHICH IS ABSURD CONSIDERING I DIDNT KNOW THE PRODUCT WAS DEFECTIVE UNTIL DAY 30.) DO NOT ORDER.
Crashes and freezes my computer. Software and book aren't in sync.
By Stacey M. Hardman on Jun 29, 2013
I had to use this software for one of my college classes. Everyone hated it! It crashed my computer once. Almost every time that I use it, the software freezes. Every time I close it out, I have to do it through task manager. The software is not compatible with the book. Some of the back up files have to be downloaded from the books website because the software disc's files are corrupted. The directions from the book doesn't match up with the software. Quickbooks help center barely helps. This is one of the worst software that I have ever used. Ridiculous!!
Designed to be used as a course supplement
By Dot Jones on Apr 04, 2013
I ordered this book to teach me how to use my Quickbooks Accountant software. I was disappointed that it wasn't a manual but a supplement for coursework. It is written in such a way that someone who is trying to learn the software who doesn't have access to an instructor for reference and guidance cannot follow along. I ended up hiring a tutor to come to my house to teach me what I needed to know. I discounted the other reviewers thinking that I could make sense of this book where they had not. I now concur with their reviews. This book is priced as a college textbook and not a manual for the inexperienced user. I would suggest that anyone who wants a manual for the software look elsewhere. I was not successful in finding a manual, maybe there is one but I seriously doubt it. I gave this book two stars and that is being generous. Thankfully, I returned the book to Amazon and am expecting a full refund.
Horrible book - don't waste your money on it!

I had to buy this book for an accounting class. It's a college book, but you have to register the program so that you can use it (otherwise you have 30 days to use it). After registering, you only have enough days to finish the course. The book explains nothing!! The "Help" button stinks! The tutorials tell you where to click to accomplish the lesson, but when you get to the exercises, assignments, & cases, they expect you to do things that you have not been taught how to do. Worse yet, our teacher doesn't know a darn thing about QuickBooks either. This book is definitely NOT new user friendly. Be smart & pick a different book. Beware, QuickBooks for Dummies is of no help either.

Not the best book and not the worst, It was confusing at times. I would only recommend it if you know the teacher and the teacher is awesome. I had a great teacher. In fact the teacher teaches at Mohave County College in Arizona. I would recommend taking the class there with her. She makes the book super easy.
